After reporting two new injuries in the press conference yesterday, Frank Lampard added another to the list tonight.
Marc Cucurella has a “muscle injury” and will miss 2 or 3 weeks of action, the manager reported before kick off against Brentford. The left back has seen plenty of action this season both as Ben Chilwell’s backup and as a reserve left centre back when the team plays a 343.

It won’t matter that much in reality – Ben Chilwell is fit and there are only 7 games left to play. It might mean one cheeky start for Lewis Hall down the stretch though, which everyone will enjoy. His performances in the last year when given a first team opportunity have merited far more minutes than he’s been given, and now there is less to play for, there’s no excuse to not reward him.
It would really cheer the mood up – and might actually help us win.
