Frank Lampard took his first training session at Chelsea today – but if you were going by the official photos released by the club, which you can see more of here, he did it all alone.
The reality is that there were some of Graham Potter’s coaches there, and very possibly some of the new (but old) faces that Lampard will bring with him – Paul Clement, Ashley Cole, Joe Edwards were there too.
We reckon there was at least one there, but the club didn’t want to show them in the pictures until a contract was agreed – it’s probably very much against some British work permit laws.
Of course, it’s also possible that none of them were there, and it’s going to take a few days for them to all assemble at Cobham.
If it’s true that we’re getting all these guys, we’re very excited about the whole thing, and by the time we see another session, we will know for sure
