Gary Neville is on commentary duty for Sky Sports tonight, and when the cameras cut to Chelsea’s directors’ box to show the sporting directors, the former Man U defender drily pointed out that Todd Boehly was nowhere to be seen – perhaps because this is the game after the Chelsea co-owner made the call to blow up his self proclaimed long term project and sack Graham Potter after 7 months.
We take the point – there’s no denying Boehly had a busy summer grinning in potos with various signings and touring the world following his new toy, so it’s not a great time to go invisible now.
Although as some on Twitter have pointed out, perhaps he’s busy somewhere trying to find a new manager?
Either way, whether he’s at the games or not is far less important than his decisions in running the club, which is really where we’d like to see some improvement.
