Frank Lampard caused a stir of angry reactions from Chelsea fans last night when his starting lineup to face Brentford was announced.
It came as no surprise from Chelsea fans to see their side go down 1-0 and eventually lose the game 2-0. When the lineup was announced, there was a collective frustration and collective feel from the fanbase that they would not win the game, and they didn’t.
Sources: Chelsea and Romelu Lukaku’s stance on reuninion this summer!
For me, the starting lineup was just crazy. Using N’Golo Kante and Conor Gallagher as the most advanced attackers alongside a winger, Raheem Sterling, playing as a striker, was just madness. Six attackers on the bench, and one out and out one starting the game, it was just senseless.
We all understood it as bit more against a team like Real Madrid, but not against Brentford in the Premier League, we needed a lot more and should have been more attacking.
Ian Wright sums it up perfectly in his quote about Lampard’s starting lineup here:
Ian Wright: “I can understand against Real Madrid not starting and trying to defend and keep it tight but against Brentford at home!? I know he [Lampard] changed it at half time, but you want to start with a bit more offensive power and really have a go at Brentford.”

Yep, thank you for putting into words what we’re all thinking.
It’s really, REALLY unclear what possible good Lampard is doing the club right now when virtually nothing he’s done so far has made sense much less worked. We all knew (before he tried it the first time) that Sterling is an even worse choice to play the #9 than Havertz (or Felix), and yet he’s trotted it out more than once (as if it just needed more time). Wake up, Frank! You were an outstanding player, but your decision-making as a manager (and, more importantly, your ability to learn from mistakes and improve) is poor and you’re hurting the club you love more than you’re helping.
Lampard should understand the real reason we don’t score goals the opponent all knew the strategy potter and Frank using if you having a strong midfielders and also Strong attackers even defenders won’t stress much
Now the real reason we can score goals on my own opinion is the two attackers can’t beat four opponent defenders this why there’s left wing right wing also strikers three in front sometimes difficult to break not two talk of just two weak attacker’s we don’t score goals they didn’t award any penalty for us that’s means our attacking is very poor
