Burnley were Championship Champions this season after a totally dominant campaign, and one of their star players was a Chelsea loanee.
Ian Maatsen built on a couple of really solid loans and decided to be a key man in a good second tier side rather than struggle for minutes in the Premier League and it paid off, with the left back announced in the Championship team of the season today.
Let’s hope he gets a chance back at Stamford Bridge next season – he’s more than earned one.
