Some interesting stats published today by John Muller of the Athletic show that Chelsea have changed their first team more than any other side in Europe’s top 5 leagues.
Their most used XI has played 59% of the total team minutes. Arsenal top the charts, with 80%, astronomically different given the context and things like goalkeepers staying in every game.
Week to week it’s been hard to argue with a lot of the decisions to change the team, as managers are criticised for not rotating enough almost as much as they’re criticised for rotating too much. But the results are obvious.
