Jose Mourinho’s hat has been thrown into the ring as a potential new Chelsea manager, but we can only imagine that’s come from Jose or his agent Jorge Mendes.
Being linked with the role – no matter how unlikely – only serves to improve his position at Roma, making him seem in demand and reinforcing that they’re “lucky” to have a top tier manager at a team that has not competed for Champions League titles for decades.
Jose Mourinho would find it very hard to turn down an approach from #Chelsea.

The new ownership just don’t seem like the type to be interested in Mourinho, especially given his track record at the club. They want a yes-man, and someone who won’t cause trouble or tarnish the club’s image. They want to move away from the Abramovich-Mourinho years, not go back to them.
It’s hard to see them plumping for Mourinho even if he was at the top of his game – and at this stage it feels like it’s been some years since Jose was at the cutting edge.
