We’re hunting around for some good news today after the sacking of Graham Potter, and we’ve had to dip down into the Championship to find it.
There we find Cesare Casadei on loan with Reading. The former Inter Milan man signed with Chelsea in the summer and played in the development squad for 6 months while he adjusted to a new country and found his feet.
A loan for the second half of the season seemed sensible, and the Championship a good starting point. But at first Casadei couldn’t get a game, and there were plenty of questions asked about whether the move to play under Paul Ince had been a wise one.

But March saw the Italy youth international finally break into the team and even score his first goal for the struggling Royals, and his performances were good enough in the end to win him the player of the month award for March.
Let’s hope this is just the start.
