Chelsea are set to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as their next manager very soon with the negotiations now ‘closer than ever’ to being completed.
We have been hearing over the weekend and again this week how the former Tottenham manager is now the firm favourite to become the next Chelsea boss on a permanent basis, and now it seems like it is at the very last stages and we should get confirmation of it happening very soon now.

But when we he start his role? Because right now Chelsea have Frank Lampard back in as caretaker manager until the end of the season, so will they sack yet another manager?
It doesn’t seem like it, according to Fabrizio Romano, who is also the source of all the above information as well. His latest tweet on it all over night confirms that Pochettino will be starting his role officially in the summer.
