The Chelsea manager pursuit continues now but with a sign that it might finally be reaching the end in terms of a decision being made by the club anyway.
There have been a handful of names reliably linked with the role for the summer, but we are yet to really see what direction they will head in.
Julian Nagelsmann is everyone’s favourite choice in terms of the reporting, but Mauricio Pochettino is also now named as a manager with a good chance of getting it.
One new one in the frame according to Football London at least, is Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti, who Chelsea are ‘set’ to hold talks with soon allegedly.
However, the report follows that up saying Nagelsmann is the preferred option at the minute. The German is seen as more tenable than other options given he is currently without a job.
Personally can’t see anything coming from the Spalletti links, he’s 64-years-old for a start, that doesn’t really fit the project.
