Frank Lampard looks set to return as Chelsea manager once again, after being sacked by the club back in January 2021.
Thomas Tuchel then replaced him, and he was sacked by the new owners. Graham Potter replaced Tuchel, and now he has been sacked, and we’ve gone full circle with Lampard reportedly heading back in as Blues boss. Absolutely crazy stuff!

But things look so much different for Lampard this time around, and you only have to look at his last line up as Chelsea manager before he got sacked.
It was against Luton Town in the 4th round of the FA Cup, and in Lampard’s starting line up there was only five players who are still at the club now – Kepa Arrizabalaga, Reece James, Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech, and Christian Pulisic, and only two of these have been regulars for Chelsea recently.
The rest of the line up consisted of Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma, Emerson, Billy Gilmour, Timo Werner, and Tammy Abraham, who bagged a hat-trick to see Chelsea win 3-1.
He’s certainly got a much bigger and better squad to work with now!
