There’s been almost universal positivity about the idea of Mauricio Pochettino’s appointment as the new Chelsea manager. Perhaps it’s just because of how bad things have been this season that anything new seems appealing to both fans and those writing about the team.
But on their ESPN podcast, Gabriele Marcotti and Julien Laurens dared to give a different opinion. They both have doubts about whether this is going to work.
They point to how it ended at Tottenham and how it went at PSG. They also note that Pochettino has had conflict with sporting directors before, which would not be ideal considering Chelsea have just appointed about 5 of them.

Overall, whether or not you agree with what they say about it, it’s always interesting to hear a take that breaks away from the overwhelming narrative. Let’s hope they’re wrong, because this looks like it’s happening.

You may aswell let pochettino take over and show us what we’ve been missing all this time you never know he might become the next Marino and change our history and get us back where we belong top four.I mean he got spurs to a ucl final.which nowadays is rare,Otherwise who else is Available.?Also why keep frank in charge till seasons over I cannot see where the next win will come from he just makes all these excuses up and let’s the players walk all over him. I Mean lacking in confidence these players need a lesson All these massive price tags put on players who years ago where great.But now they haven’t got a clue. If asked for my opinion I totally agree that Pochettino isn’t the right Manager for Chelsea. I don’t see him taking Chelsea out this depth..
