Mauricio Pochettino looks like he is set to become the next permanent Chelsea manager very soon.
All roads lead to Pochettino soon being announced as the next Chelsea boss, although it has not been made official yet nor is it being described entirely as a done deal. But it’s certainly advancing and could be confirmed as soon as this week.

Everyone has had their say on Pochettino and have been speaking about his time at Tottenham and at PSG, where he enjoyed success as well as mixed results over both jobs.
But CBS Journalist Ben Jacobs believes Chelsea are getting the right profile for where they are at right now, and Pochettino’s experience proves this.
Writing in his latest exclusive and extensive Chelsea column for Si & Dan Talk Chelsea today, Jacobs also says that Chelsea players on the whole think Pochettino is the right choice.

Jacobs said: “The beauty of Mauricio Pochettino is he has Premier League experience and a proven track-record of developing youth. Plus, his learnings from PSG could also prove valuable since he had to deal with a fair amount of politics and stars there. There are plenty of Chelsea players who think he’s the right choice, and a safe one, too.
“Chelsea have looked at Pochettino on multiple occasions, including during the Roman Abramovich era. Pochettino has had time to see Chelsea develop and understand the long-term plan. He has impressed in talks to date.”
