Romelu Lukaku may get third chance at Chelsea as Blues bring in new manager

Romelu Lukaku will be offered a new chance to start again at Chelsea under new coach Mauricio Pochettino, Matt Law is reporting today.

The striker has been struggling for Inter Milan on loan this season, although his form has picked up recently. The Italian club still look unlikely to be able to afford to make that loan permanent, and they may not even want to.

It would solve two of Chelsea’s issues – what on earth to do with Lukaku, and how to possibly afford a top striker.

The question that needs to be answered however, especially after Lukaku’s struggles last year, is whether he’s actually up to it in the Premier League. There are plenty of fans who would say that they’re sure he isn’t.

Lukaku has really burned his bridges with the fans at Chelsea too, and while goals can cure a lot of things, there are doubts about more than just his attitude.
