Following up on a piece in the Gazzetta dello Sport yesterday, we wrote that Romelu Lukaku was hoping to kickstart his season for this final stretch after injuries had disrupted his return to Inter Milan on loan.
Sadly, it didn’t go to plan at all yesterday.
Inter lost 1-0 to Fiorentina at San Siro as their increasingly poor season got that much worse. To cap it off, Lukaku missed a chance from 3 yards which would have put his team ahead. Chelsea fans are largely keen to see him do well, if only so that Inter take the chance to sign him permanently this summer.

There’s still time to turn it around, but it’s not looking likely now. If he puts that chance away we might have lift off. As it is, he’s probably back to low confidence again after a good international break.
