There has been some pretty strong words written about Chelsea’s academy under the new ownership today.
According to The Evening Standard today, morale in Chelsea’s academy is at an all time low. An all time low? Very strong words.
Sources: Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea aligned on squad building!
The reason stated is because these young players in the academy are seeing players being signed from overseas to fill spots in the Under-21s and a host of young signings in the first team on eight-year contracts.
The report claims that the academy building at Cobham risks being devalued by the chaos at the club, as youngsters no longer feel appreciated.
You can certainly see why there will be fears about not seeing a pathway into the first team now with all this money spent on supposed superstars. But some of these superstars have not been performing, and some of the academy players are good enough to step up and should be getting more chances in my view.

It is said, “Every Kingdom that has fallen, fell from within.” Chelsea is no exemption. I don’t know How long this LONDON BRIDGE will keep falling.
“Chelsea, no one can stop us now!” It’s a shame the way our leaders strive to stop us.
