Todd Boehly accused players of not “taking responsibility” in dressing room speech after Brighton loss

An exclusive in the Daily Mail last night has revealed a little more about what Todd Boehly said to the Chelsea players in the increasingly infamous dressing room dressing down he gave them after the defeat to Brighton.

The co-owner apparently said words “to the effect of ‘this isn’t good enough, this isn’t what we brought you to the club for, you’re not taking responsibility.”

He repeatedly called the miserable state of the results “embarrassing.”

Sources have Chelsea have made it clear that no individual players were singled out, however we’re sure some were feeling the heat more than others.

Many fans have made it clear that they’re not comfortable with the owner coming into the dressing room at all, but few will have too many problems with the content of his speech.

The new manager certainly has his work cut out in getting things back on course at Chelsea, where it’s all going increasingly pear shaped, a year after the Clearlake Capital takeover.
