As a talented young English manager, many in the British press were very keen for Graham Potter to get a top job, and very keen for him to succeed once he had it.
Unfortunately, the results were just indefensible, as everyone on TalkSport this morning agreed.
“He had to go” said Martin Keown, with Simon Jordan unable to disagree. All sorts of excuses have been made for Potter in the last 7 months, but in the end it’s the results that matter most, and when he was consistently unable to deliver those, it was game over.
