Frank Lampard signed his papers to become interim Chelsea boss last night, was announced this morning, and was taking his first press conference just a few hours later.
He has barely had time to work out what his team will be for Saturday’s game, let alone anything more complicated than that. So asking him about Mason Mount’s contract standoff was clearly not going to work.
“I don’t know enough about it to talk about it,” he admitted, before reminding everyone that Mason is a “huge player for Chelsea.”
