Touchdown! The race to become Chelsea’s new manager is on, and Luis Enrique has made his first move.
He’s just arrived in London, with a beaming smile and full of jokes about where he had been and where he was headed, to interview for the job. Being first doesn’t make him the most likely to get the job, but it does emphasise how much of an advantage he has by being available right now.
He won’t be the only person the people upstairs speak to, but he’s got the first mover’s advantage.
