When Evan Ferguson was taken off injured, we had a moment of confidence that Chelsea would be able to reverse some of Brighton’s dominance in this game.
Instead, the Irishman’s replacement Danny Welbeck has just scored against us. It’s more of the same slack defending we’ve seen all season, as Pascal Gross was given too much space to pick out a lovely left footed cross and Welbeck was able to climb between two central defenders to head the ball in.
Kepa was left rooted to the spot, and Chelsea are deservedly pegged back.
