Chelsea were so bad tonight that it’s unlikely any scenario would have them winning over two legs.
But they had superb chance in the second minute, which would have changed the whole tie – at least to begin with – had they scored.
Joao Felix was clean through but, as Thierry Henry explained in detail on CBS Sport, he didn’t do what a striker would do, and in the end Real Madrid were able to squeeze him out. Fine margins are everything in football, and this was probably the clearest chance of the tie.
