Frank Lampard’s Chelsea have not managed a goal in his two games in charge yet, and he’s constantly asked about how he will solve the long term goal issue.
Today he pointed to two things specifically – the need for “urgency” and to “get numbers in the box.”
We didn’t see much of either of those against Real Madrid, and in fact Lampard has been critical of his wing backs for not getting forward enough at the Bernabeu.
Blues fans would 100% agree with the need for both those things, but they would also worry about being overexposed at the back throwing men forward.
