There were significant doubts about Chelsea’s goalkeeping situation after Wednesday’s game.
Kepa was dropped by Frank Lampard during his first spell at the club, and after some dodgy moments in the last two games there were whispers that history could repeat itself.
But Lampard kept faith in the Spaniard, and has been rewarded by two great saves today. He’s captain today and has twice denied Seagulls as Chelsea cling to their lead.
That surely secures his place until the end of the season.
