This season has been an absolute disaster for Chelsea’s new owners in their very first season at the club.
After having forked out millions upon millions signing new players and bringing in new staff since their arrival, Chelsea are in one of their worst ever seasons of football, at least in more recent times.

They’ve had three managers in place during their reign so far, and things seem completely all over the place right now.
Lacklustre defeat in Madrid last night just added to the glum mood as Chelsea fans watched their side not even put in 60% effort whilst losing 2-0 to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
This result now means that Chelsea have failed to score in four consecutive games for the first time since December 1993.

Firing blanks indeed, and that is just one of the many major problems the club are facing right now as it goes through painful turmoil, or a long-term transitional project if you want to call it that instead.
