Levi Colwill in line for senior England cap before the end of this year according to exclusive

Levi Colwill has had a brilliant campaign on loan with Brighton, building on a preceding excellent loan with Huddersfield.

He has stepped up comfortably from the Championship to the top half of the Premier League and barely put a foot wrong.

Now, today’s Daily Mail exclusive from Sami Mokbel claims that he’s one of a few players being considered for a senior England call up “before the end of 2023.”

We can’t say we’re surprised. He looks like the best English defender of his age in the country, and the senior team isn’t blessed with too much depth in that position.

In June there are two games to finish the season, Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia, and if Colwill doesn’t get the nod there, it will surely come later in the year. This is Gareth Southgate’s chance to build for the future, and Colwill can become a major part of that.
