Poor David Datro Fofana has really become a forgotten man at Chelsea very quickly.
Signed in the middle of a January transfer frenzy he’s not had much of a kick since, starting one game and coming off the bench in a couple of others. The right move was probably to loan him out immediately after we signed him, but he stayed put for 6 months.
Now he really need a move, and finally we’re hearing rumours about the clubs who might take him. Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato is good on French teams, and he names 3 (plus one German side) who are all keen: Union Berlin, Lille, Strasbourg and Nice.
Strasbourg have to be favourites, given Chelsea have just bought their entire club for this sort of purposes. But Aouna also claims that the striker has a “preference for Nice,” who have been in extended talks with him about a move.
They all seem like interesting options – we just want to see David playing and scoring every week to make up for his lost time.
