TalkSport are claiming more and more exclusives these days, and the latest one is all about Conor Gallagher.
The midfielder is one of the players it feels like could be on his way out as he’s home grown and Chelsea want to raise big money to help balance last summer’s spending. He ended up playing an important role in the team over the course of last season however, so it would be a somewhat controversial decision, especially with Mason Mount likely to leave as well.

We’ve heard a few teams mentioned in connection with Gallagher, but today is the first time we hear Brighton raised. They’ve made it to European football for the first time and will want to strengthen majorly, and they also have the really impressive Roberto De Zerbi in place as manager.
Still, Gallagher looks like he’s desperate to stay at Chelsea where he came through the academy, and unless he gets told by Mauricio Pochettino that he’s not in his plans at all, it’s hard to imagine him not pushing to stay put for at least one more year.
A lot will depend on just how concrete this interest is – how much is put on the table and by who, and how convinced Gallagher is by the whole project. It will also be vital to see who Chelsea sign – at this moment in time we can’t afford to be letting any midfielders go as we hunt for a new one ourselves.
