The tables have really comes when it comes to Arsenal and Chelsea. It was just a few years ago that Blues fans were able to mock Gunners. After this season, that’s no longer the case.
In fact, our North London rivals are even poaching players off us now. They signed Jorginho in January, and this summer they are apparently keen to add another.
Matt Law’s piece today in the Telegraph on Kai Havertz’s situation at the club is mostly about Real Madrid’s interest, but it also notes that Arsenal are keen on the German attacker – at the right price.
Chelsea are determined to sell players before their value starts to decline when they enter the final two years of their contract, and Havertz is about to hit that mark. The Blues want to sell him – but they also want £70m, which is too rich for Madrid and therefore probably everyone else too.
