Chelsea and Inter are preparing to meet to sort out Romelu Lukaku’s future once and for all, and both sides are coming prepared.
The Blues want rid of their striker and Inter want him in. But Inter can’t pay anything close to what Chelsea want, either for a loan or a permanent move.
So both sides are bringing a lot of players to the table to see if a multi-part deal can’t be done. The Gazzetta reports that there are an amazing 8 names set to be discussed, with some from either side. Andre Onana, Denzel Dumfries, Kalidou Koulibaly, Cesar Azpilicueta, Trevoh Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi and on the table, to greater and lesser extents available as makeweights to swing a deal.
Whether or not any can change the fundamental fact that Inter don’t have the money to sign Lukaku we will just have to see, but it’s going to be an interesting few days nonetheless.
