Big transfer deal ‘not over’ as club ‘send messages’ to Chelsea player

A Chelsea player has reportedly been receiving messages from an interested club this week as they attempt to prize him away from Stamford Bridge.

Just when we were enjoying a few quiet days on this annoying and frustrating subject, the Mason Mount saga fires back up again.

Sources: Chelsea’s goalkeeper search – Andre Onana and Mike Maignan!

Mount has not yet signed a new contract extension at Chelsea, and Manchester United are trying to sign him this summer.

The problem has been agreeing a fee with Chelsea so far, who are not prepared to let him go for any less than their asking price, and why should they?

Fabrizio Romano has the latest on the situation in his tweet below, and he says United are sending messages to Mount this week confirming their intentions to persist with this deal. As he says though, Chelsea continue to prize Mount out of a move.

The Chelsea News View

I think Chelsea should stand firm on their fee and if nobody pays it, then keep him. He has a year left on his contract and personally I feel that if we didn’t let him leave then things could turn on it’s head under Mauricio Pochettino next season and we could see a different scenario and Mount extending his deal. A risk worth taking in my opinion.

  1. Dont sell MM, let him stay work hard and try and get the fans behind him again….he let CFC down badly last season and we don’t need to sell him too our rivals.

  2. La pregunta es si Mount estaría comprometido y no se la pase “lesionado” o jugando a medio gas como lo fue en toda la temporada. Si no mejor que se vaya
