Chelsea and Brighton have done quite a few deals together in recent times, and they could soon be doing some more.
However, Chelsea are being clear that one of them will not be defender Levi Colwill, who has spent the season on loan with Brighton. They want to sign him on a permanent deal now and according to Fabrizio Romano this morning, will continue to insist on signing him after seeing a £30m offer rejected.
Sources: Chelsea not given up on Victor Osimhen this summer!
But Chelsea want to keep Colwill and are going to be speaking about a new and improved contract.

As Romano says above, the potential sale of Kalidou Koulibaly is expected to help in convincing Colwill to sign a new contract.
The Chelsea News View
There is now way that Chelsea should, and won’t, even contemplate selling Colwill. He is the future and he will become an elite player. Koulibaly’s potential departure should show him enough that he will get plenty of game time at Chelsea and it seems Mauricio Pochettino really believes in the player too.
Chelsea giving Brighton a taste of their own medicine when putting a fee on a player
..after filleting every asset that they could from theAlbion last season… Chelsea and some of their supporters are completely graceless…..
I guess it depends on how much Chelsea want Caicedo?
By the same token, Brighton should insist that Chelsea will not be able to buy Caicedo.
Colwill hasn’t signed a new deal with Chelsea yet. Sure, he is a Chelsea player, but he isn’t likely to forget that his break took place at a club who finished 6th (not in the bottom half), are in Europe (Chelsea ain’t), and at 21/22 money ain’t worth Jack S**t if you’re warming the bench.
