Things are moving fast in the world of Romelu Lukaku.
He’s supposed to report back to Chelsea for preseason in a few weeks, but in the meantime he’s been playing a Champions League final, and now linked with a permanent move to Inter Milan.
Yesterday morning, new rumours bubbled up that he was receiving a huge bid from Saudi Arabia.
By late last night however we had an update on the story from Tutto Mercato Web – Lukaku was going to say no to the offer.
A lot had changed in that time – but suddenly all signs are against him doing Chelsea a favour and taking the money to go elsewhere. Just as we suspected – and just as you would have expected from a fierce competitor like Lukaku – he’s not ready to take the money and walk, he want to play in Europe and win trophies, not cash in just yet.
Despite how frustrating that may be for Chelsea, it’s admirable.
