Chelsea’s 5-man shortlist to replace Kai Havertz and Mason Mount

It is looking more and more likely that Chelsea are going to lose both Kai Havertz and Mason Mount to Premier League rivals this summer.

Havertz is much more advanced, with talk of a medical and his deal to Arsenal being completed this weekend.

As well as Havertz, the rumours surrounding Mount staying at Chelsea are looking more and more negative, with Manchester United getting closer and closer to matching his valuation.

And if Chelsea lose both players this summer, which they are open to doing at the right price, then they already have a shortlist of some names who could come in as a replacement for both players.

That’s according to our sources at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea today, where I’ve written a long and detailed update on the situation.

The shortlisted names are Mohammed Kudus of Ajax, Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen, and Dominik Szobozlai of RB Leipzig.

On that list also is James Maddison of Leicester City, and Gabri Veiga of Celta Vigo. Although on the latter, I’m not sure if he’s being looked at more as a possible Mateo Kovacic replacement because he is a deeper playing midfielder rather than a 10.

  1. I think Veiga and Maddison will be perfect replacements, particularly Maddison because he has Premier league experience.

  2. They should go get Kelechi Iheanacho for a cut throat price. Best 9/10 striker aside Kane in the league. Get him and see the players around him thrive.

  3. Chelsea fan from Ghana Kudus!!!!!! Is the best one to replace Kai coz he is very strong and skillfull.
