Chelsea are sitting pretty with last summer’s signing Cesare Casadei looking really impressive at the U20 World Cup this summer and a queue of teams developing to offer him a place on loan for this campaign to come.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who also adds that the midfielder won’t have any buy option included in that deal. The club continue to see him as an important prospect for the future – and why wouldn’t they?
Chelsea will not include any buy option in Cesare Casadei’s next loan deal — this is the plan. Casadei, also happy at Chelsea and trusts the project. 🔵✨ #CFC
Many loan bids are on the table to be discussed soon. No talks with Juventus; they’re happy with their own talents. pic.twitter.com/8tIVlD0uNG

After 6 months in the Development Squad getting settled in London, Casadei went to Reading for 6 months to end the season. He will be aiming significantly higher than the bottom end of the Championship this time, and there are sure to be Premier League sides among those keen.
What’s important is that he continues to play every week. His time at Reading was his first dose of senior football, and he urgently needs to work on that more. Being stuck in a top squad will be less valuable than 38 games somewhere lesser this season.
Put him in the Chelsea team now!
