Christopher Nkunku takes questions about Chelsea move and names positions he can play

It’s one of the worst kept secrets in football from the last six months, that Christopher Nkunku is joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig this summer when the transfer window opens.

Nkunku is currently on international duty with France though, but is largely expected to have his move officially confirmed after that.

Sources: Chelsea might still keep Mason Mount even if he doesn’t sign a new contract!

Football London have reiterated again that The Frenchman signed a pre-contract agreement last year and is set to complete a £52million move to Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.

The forward has now been taking questions about the move whilst on international duty, and he remained coy, wise, and professional with his response.

“I am focused on gathering with Les Bleus,” Nkunku responded. “Everything that happens after, we will have time to think.”

But Chelsea fans may fear not, Leipzig’s director has already confirmed it is happening recently.

“The signs are very, very clear that he’s moving to Chelsea,” RB Leipzig sporting director Max Eberl told BILD recently.

Every major outlet has also reported it as a done deal. We just have to wait for it to be made official now.

So where will Nkunku play at Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino? The French international answered questions on that as well.

He said: “I play where the coach decides. I don’t want to be a problem but a solution. But I can be in front, in support or on the sides. I have this ability to adapt it – I like to be free.”
