Last week Chelsea released their list of players who will be retained, and the list who have been let go at the end of their contracts.
There was a few names on that list who were still in the middle if you like. Midfielder N’Golo Kante simply had ‘contract’ in brackets after his name, meaning that he had a contract offer still on the table from Chelsea but had yet to sign it.

Now though, the conclusion is here, and N’Golo Kante HAS officially left Chelsea and joined Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
The Blues legend has signed their until 2027 and will be presented to Saudi in July.

It will be a massive loss for Chelsea despite his very poor injury record. On his day, when he is playing, he is one of the best in the world and the memories he has made at this club will go down in history.
