Ex-Chelsea loanee could set in motion a chain of events that means Blues miss out on Caicedo

Football Italia last night reported that former Chelsea loanee Denis Zakaria could be set to join West Ham on a permanent deal.

The ex-Blue could ironically set off a chain of events that takes our top summer target away from us.

Hear us out – Zakaria joins West Ham to play as a defensive midfielder. This then frees us the Hammers to accept Manchester City’s reported £90m bid from this evening.

With Rice at Man City, Arsenal are left empty handed, and move on to their second target – Moises Caicedo. The Ecuador star at Brighton who is widely known to be Chelsea’s top target for their own gap in midfield – a gap created by the ending of Zakaria’s loan and his subsequent return to Juventus.

Image if after all that, we miss out on Caicedo, and end up wishing we had just kept Zakaria ourselves… he was a decent player, after all.

  1. What has Zakaria got to do with Rice going to City instead of Arsenal?

    That could happen anyway

  2. Chelsea should not be bothered with zakaria moving to westham, they should just focus on caicedo.. Because Rice going to man city has nothing to do with Chelsea
