Fabrizio Romano names Chelsea’s Manuel Ugarte alternative after deal breaks down

There was a real rollercoaster transfer saga that Chelsea have been involved with this weekend, but it looks like it’s now over, for them at least.

After all that has been said and done regarding Manuel Ugarte’s proposed move from Sporting Lisbon to Chelsea over the weekend, it now looks like this move has all but collapsed and he is PSG bound instead.

Sources: Have Chelsea really made an offer for Lionel Messi?

It’s been a very up and down and dramatic transfer saga, with ti changing entirely over the weekend. I guess it’s a sign of things to come during what is going to be yet another busy summer transfer window for Chelsea and the board there.

So with the Ugarte deal collapsing, where will Chelsea turn now? Fabrizio Romano has been tweeting a lot about their interest in Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, and he did just that once again late last night, suggesting that he will be the one to watch for Chelsea now.

As he says below though, Caicedo has always been on the list as well as Ugarte – they wanted both.
