Former Blue likes the idea of old teammate coming to join him – and Chelsea fans may agree

Antonio Rudiger moved to Real Madrid a year ago from Chelsea, and he has today spoken out about the prospects of an old teammate joining him there.

He’s very respectful of his old team, but admits he likes the idea of Havertz heading to Madrid, as has been suggested in the press in both the UK and Spain in recent days. Los Blancos have lost their main striker and two attacking midfielders in the last few days as they look to shake up their squad.

“I would be happy to play with him again at a club. However it concerns the market, I have nothing to report to the club,” Rudiger said in quotes picked up by TuttoMercatoWeb.

The pair have played together with the German team for years as well as for Chelsea, and we’re sure they would like to be reunited at Madrid. In all honesty, plenty of Chelsea fans would be happy to see the same, if the Blues were to get a good fee for him and spend it on a striker able to score 20 (or maybe even 15) goals in season…
