Hakim Ziyech “approached” by team who see him as perfect creator to play with Cristiano Ronaldo

Things are going Saudi crazy at the moment as the world’s new wealthy retirement home kicks into gear.

They signed Cristiano Ronaldo in January, and while it’s taken a while for the rest of the footballing world to reach the end of their campaign, things are really heating up suddenly.

Nizaar Kinsella’s piece about Romelu Lukaku and the interest in the striker from several clubs there didn’t even have room to squeeze in a mention of interest in Hakim Ziyech too.

He has apparently “been the subject of an approach” from large Saudi clubs, including Ronaldo’s Al Nassr, who forsee him playing as a creator between the lines supplying assists to the repulsive Portuguese goal machine.

Once again, it looks like this sudden emerge of a cash rich league happy to spend vast sums on basically any player with a Wikipedia page might just dig Chelsea out of their financial nightmare at just the right moment.

Ziyech appears to have plenty of interest from Europe too, and wouldn’t cost a prohibitively high fee like Lukaku would, so the Morocco star will likely be able to make his own decisions about his future and whether they lie in Europe or further afield.
