(Image): Chelsea player wins impressive double awards at FIFA tournament

Whilst the domestic football season is now completely over after Saturday evening’s Champions League final, there is as always, much more football still going on during the summer.

We’ve just had the FIFA U20 World Cup Finals conclude, and there was of course some Chelsea involvement right up to the final.

Sources: Chelsea’s goalkeeper search – Andre Onana and Mike Maignan!

Uruguay were crowned world champions grabbing a late winner to beat Italy 1-0, but in terms of Chelsea involvement, it is highly rated midfielder Cesare Casadei who stole the headlines despite being on the losing team.

As you can see from the post below, Casadei won the Golden Boot and Player of the Tournament! Incredible stuff!

  1. So why us it that Chelsea wants Romeo Lavia whereas they’ve Cesare Casadei? Surely the boy is good enough to partner Enzo, and has international exposure. Pocchetino should just hit the ground running because the team already has a pool of very good young players to build on. You have Madueke, Hall,Maatsen, Andrey Santos, Malo Gusto,Slonina,Carney, Datro,Broja, Gallagher, Chalobaah,Colwil,Omarion…..the list is huge.
