Chelsea have today been linked with Villareal forward Nicolas Jackson, so we thought we’d take a look at how he matches up statistically.

He’s clearly a good goalscorer, managing 0.68 non penalty goals every 90 minutes, putting him in the 94th percentile of players.
He’s similarly strong in assists and progressive carries, giving the picture of a player who is well rounded in the final third, able to shoot, pass the ball and move with the ball. He passes the eye test too, moving well and looking hungry and dangerous in the final third.
We expect to hear more on this rumour, especially if other cheaper targets don’t come onto the market soon.
