Amongst all the madness of the transfer dramas involving Chelsea this weekend, there was some sad news for a former Blues player and fan favourite.
Tammy Abraham was loved at Chelsea amongst the faithful in the stands, but I think when he left the club there was a general acceptance by all that it was probably for the best for all parties. He needed to go elsewhere to develop further, and he did just that under Jose Mourinho at Roma, at least in his first season.
Sources: Have Chelsea really made an offer for Lionel Messi?
He slowed up a bit since and now he has been hit with the news no footballer ever wants to hear, he has an ACL injury.
As you can see from Fabrizio Romano’s update below, Abraham was injured on his final game of the season and looks unlikely to return to training before November/December at the end of this year.

Truly gutted for the kid to be honest, it’s always such a tough injury to overcome and get back to your best from. Let’s hope he has a speedy recovery and gets back to his best.
