Koulibaly included in Onana talks

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is tonight reporting on an upcoming meeting between Inter Milan and Chelsea officials.

There are three things on the table, and as always we expect the deals to end up being separate – adding them together only confuses things. But there can certainly be some interdependence between the deals, given both clubs want players from the other party.

Chelsea want Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana, while the Italian side are keen to take Romelu Lukaku on loan from us once again.

The man in the middle is Kalidou Koulibaly, who looks surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge after just one season. He could be bundled off to Italy with Lukaku if Inter are willing to play ball on the Onana front.

There is also vague interest in both Trevoh Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but that seems more one sided, with Chelsea simply hoping to offload them somewhere this summer.

As always, the silly wages Chelsea pay their players make them more difficult than ever to shift.
