Mauricio Pochettino considering first major bad decision of Chelsea reign

There have been various and contrasting reports out regarding Chelsea’s goalkeeper plans this summer.

And that is why I am still hoping that the news below will not happen. But worryingly, the news is from one of the best transfer sources you can get, so that does present a huge red flag in my opinion.

Sources: Chelsea discussed signing former Liverpool striker this transfer window!

There is no way that anyone in football should be thinking it is a good idea to keep Kepa Arrizabalaga as a number one goalkeeper if you seriously want to challenge at the top again. Kepa isn’t terrible like many say, but he is far from number one quality and the fact that Mauricio Pochettino is even allegedly thinking he is, concerns me massively and sends him towards his first massive bad decision of his Chelsea reign, and reign that hasn’t actually even started yet!

The news, as seen below, is that Chelsea are seriously considering Kepa Arrizabalaga as their first goalkeeper and signing a new number two. Anatoliy Trubin is someone they appreciate. They don’t want to spend crazy money on this.
