“Negotiating on structure” – Key to getting one Chelsea deal done revealed

Chelsea are working on quite a few key transfer deals right now, and there could be one more that heats up this weekend.

We all know the story of Mason Mount this summer and how he looks like he could well end up leaving the club he’s been at since the age of 6 due to new contract talks breaking down with Chelsea. The more reports that come out on this today, the more it looks highly likely that Mount will be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer and joining close rival Manchester United, which really is quite absurd when you deep it.

Sources: Chelsea discussed signing former Liverpool striker this transfer window!

This should have been sorted out by Chelsea months ago, but now they look like they are about to sell Mount, and it is the structure of the deal that looks like it will be enough to get it over the line and is the key to it.

Sky Sports report, as seen below, that Manchester United are expected to re-iterate to Chelsea their desire to sign Mason Mount. United are comfortable with £55m offer and feel price is realistic for a player who is into final year of contract and who wants to join. Negotiating on structure of deal not ruled out.

And that last bit is key for me.
