Chelsea have reportedly made a bid to sign a Real Madrid midfielder in a surprising turn of events today, according to one report.
The Blues actually wanted Aurelien Tchouameni before he even arrived at Real Madrid and now, according to Diario Sport, they have made an offer for him again this summer as they search for a new defensive midfielder to partner Enzo Fernandez.

According to the report, Chelsea offered Real Madrid €60 million for Tchouameni but that was turned down right away. Now, they are thinking of raising the bid to €80m, an interesting amount that Madrid could think about.
Tchouameni as I say, has been a Chelsea target for some time, but they lost out to Real Madrid the last time around. He certainly fits the profile of the kind of player they are looking to sign in midfield, even if this report does feel a little far-fetched at this point.
