Rio Ferdinand names Chelsea player as his ‘dream’ signing for Man Utd this summer

Rio Ferdinand has named his dream transfer signing for Manchester United this summer, and it just so happens to be a Chelsea player.

Ferdinand was speaking about transfers this week to FIVE’s YouTube channel.

There was some interesting comments made. And the former United and England defender wants to see Chelsea’s Levi Colwill arrive at Old Trafford this summer as his dream signing.

But of course, we know that is hugely unlikely to happen, as I was recently told and reported on my personal Substack page last week, that incoming Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino is adamant that Colwill has a big future at the Bridge.

And to be honest, Ferdinand even admits that fact as well. He says: “If I could get him, my dream one would be [Levi] Colwill. But I think Chelsea are going to keep him. I think they’ve seen how good he is now.”

And he’s absolutely right, Chelsea HAVE seen how good he is and have every intention to not only keep him going forward, but to also offer him a new contract and a key role at the club, which of course, is excellent news.
