Sky Sports are confident that our next two transfers of the summer are close to being completed – the departures of Hakim Ziyech and Edouard Mendy to Al Nassr and Al Ahli respectively are about to happen.
Sky write that both deals are “very close” to being done and that both could be completed “this week,” although we reckon it could be even sooner than that. Personal terms and a transfer fee seem to have been agreed on both fronts, and while there’s probably a little admin still to be done on both sides, there’s no reason to think we can’t see an announcement of one or the other as soon as today, let alone by the end of the week.
The deals to take Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy to Al Ahli and winger Hakim Ziyech to Al Nassr are now understood to be very close. 🇸🇦⏳

It represents another important stage of this summer’s major sell off, with a whole host of unwanted stars heading to the Middle East and clearing a huge space on Chelsea’s wage bill. Then the fun can really begin as we start to find the perfect players to take this squad to the next level.
Neither Mendy nor Ziyech stood much of a chance of playing much this season, and we’re delighted to be getting a decent fee for them. The rumours are that the two deals combined will top €20m and that gives us a little spending money to try and target a goalkeeper who can improve this team in perhaps its weakest position.
